Great Cruise Night in Lombard with a Beatles Tribute band, The Stockwoods. Hundreds of machines lined St. Charles Road and parking lots. I make a panorama for my blog header for each event and near the bank were two good setups, the Cobras (for this post header) and four Corvettes (for the photos page I made for this event at this link).

I am still processing the images from this big event (the heat took it’s toll on me last week) but here is my ‘car story’ from Cruise Night. I saw this big Merc and took a number of photos. Then the next day as I was watching the movie, The Help (set in the 60’s), I saw the exact same model (with Continental kit and roll down rear window .. the movie car was ‘fire-engine’ red. It took plenty of research to identify it as a 1957 Mercury Turnpike Cruiser.
