1937 Pontiac Business Coupe

I’m not sure when I first noticed this great car with such simple and elegant lines. I learned the owner’s name, Ernie, at a Riverside show and have tried to find him to learn more about the vehicle. I met Ernie last night at Downer’s Grove.

He’s had this car seventeen years and drives it quite a lot: to Minnesota and St. Louis (many times). He had a ’40 Plymouth Business Coupe, a two seater with no back seat, and after having sold it, wanted another car. This beauty came along with the paint job but in need of mechanical work. It was taken completely apart and rebuilt from the ground up.The motor (a 350 Chevy ‘crate engine’) and drive train are new as is the suspension,  brakes, wheels and tires.
