Marty B, Jr became interested in bikes and motors as young as 12-14 and then he became an alley mechanic around Midway. He worked in and managed in the auto parts business and later opened his own performance engine business. This led to involvement with classic car shows all around the Midwest. His next endeavor in the ’90s was to start his own sound and recording company. Marty traveled extensively in the US and Canada to provide top performers of music of all eras, as well as churches and festivals with his equipment and sound amplifications. He was proud to heighten the performances of all the productions with which he was involved. Martin has been honored to have won 3 Latin Grammy’s with the artists Los Horoscopos de Durango , Alacranes Musical and Grupo Montez de Durango.

After his passing in February, Des Plaines, Bridgeview and Bollingbrook held several shows in his memory.

His spirit lives on in Cruise Nights

Marty provided live sound mixing for numerous groups and genres of music (here). His work included these artists whose music has been a huge part of the Cruise Nights that I photographed in 2012 and surely will be part of of Car Shows to come.
