This was the first cruise night of Wood Dale’s 2013 season I’ve been able to attend although I did go to an earlier event and that time I arrived just as ‘the heavens opened up’ with a downpour. Tonight the music was provided by Flashback 50s DJ Tony in his ’57 Chevy DJ booth.
1960 Corvette
Tom drove his numbers matching, restored original 1960 Corvette; the upholstery is just like original. The motor is a 283 with a 2 barrel.
1962 Catalina
Rich showed his blue 1962 Pontiac Catalina with a 389 and Tri-power (which could’ve been ordered from the factory) the he’d added.
1956 Mercury
I first saw this ’56 Mercury Monclair two door last year at Downers Grove (8-24-2012) and Russ Jr’s family was having a picnic. Russ Sr. was using the flame throwers. The car has a 302 engine with two 4 barrels so more gas can be dumped through the motor for the flames.
1950 Studebaker
I saw this Studebaker Champion convertible last year. Were is a hardtop, it would’ve been the one that looked the same from the front and the back; you couldn’t tell if it was coming or going.
